January Regents Week
The following information was emailed to students and staff this morning:
Good morning,
I want to share some information with all of you regarding Regents Week:
Monday, January 20th - NO SCHOOL - Martin Luther King Jr. Day
Tuesday, January 21st - Regents Testing only (no classes)
Wednesday, January 22nd - Regents and Midterm Testing only (no classes)
Thursday, January 23rd - Regents Testing only (no classes)
Friday, January 24th - Regents Testing only (no classes)
Please make note that Friday, January 24th is also the last day of the marking period, as well as the 1st semester.
Transportation
Regular AM and PM transportation will be provided on all days.
If you have only an AM or PM test, please plan accordingly.
A shuttle will pick students up at Jarvis at 11:15 am if you only have a PM exam.
A shuttle will pick students up at CVA at 11:25 am if you only have an AM exam.
(this shuttle could be delayed based on the return of the AM BOCES bus)
On Wednesday, January 22nd, regular bus runs will bring students home at 10:45 following the Midterms as this is a half-day for the rest of the district.
BOCES
Pathways is closed for the week due to testing.
VPTech will run as normal for the entire week, with the exception of Tuesday, January 21st.
ReadiTech will run as normal for the entire week.
CTE will run as normal for the entire week.
Central Valley is on a half day Wednesday, January 22nd, so PM programs will be impacted.
Transportation will be provided to and from BOCES exactly as it is any other day.
The buses will arrive and depart from CVA at their normal times and locations.
If you do not have a scheduled exam that is conflicting with your BOCES program, you are expected to attend BOCES for your program each day.
Breakfast and Lunch
Both breakfast and lunch will be available all week for students who are in attendance for testing and BOCES.
CVA will have an open campus for Regents days. This means you need to be in your testing location for all scheduled exams (ON TIME). When you do not have an exam, you do not need to remain here. You can arrange transportation around your testing schedule.
NO students will be lingering around the building before or after exams. If you need to remain at CVA to wait for your ride to get here or for buses to arrive, all students will remain in the cafeteria ONLY.
Please be sure to check with your teacher and counselors for your testing times and locations.
Thank you and best of luck to everyone on their exams!
